Grasshopper, DUDE!

Just a quickie before I knuckle down for work - this morning I was driving my son to camp when I noticed a large brown grasshopper "surfing" on my windshield.

He would joggle left and right and keep his head into the wind so his antennae streamed backwards. Whenever I slowed down, he kind of looked back like he was asking me what I was doing. And when I stopped, he'd go down to the wiper blades and wait for me to start up again. Then he'd skate up the middle of the windshield and resume surfing.

Pretty wild....

Crazy.

Say Sayre, you must be holy cow busy moving, huh. Hope all is going well. Give Z-man a big hug and tell him his virtual auntie says it may be a hard transition but it's going to be one great adventure and he'll make lots of new friends!

Aw man, you wouldn't believe.... This morning (Sunday) we got the last of the big stuff moved. Borrowed my dad's truck and used ours and got the last of it in one run. Then I sent my husband home (old house) to take a nap and relax while I took Z to a "pool party" where he and one girl were the only kids who showed up. He had a blast though. Then we went back by the old house to get the cats. Decided to spend the night in town because of the tropical storm (whew - just in the nick of time!), but the AC is dying!!!! Ack! I talked to the landlord tonight though, and he said they were going to put in a new unit (hurray!!! - hurry!). Thank goodness for ceiling fans. We've got one in the bedroom that spins like an airplane propeller. It's a little unnerving to lie under...

Still busy as can be. Cable guy comes tomorrow; hopefully my computer will be really hooked up tomorrow (I'm using an EXTENSION CORD!!!). Handy man to fix bathrooms on Tuesday or Wednesday and the house will finally go up for sale next week! Phew! This has been a long month!
