Rube, Part 2

We don't tear down houses around here. If you have a cool old house and want to build where it is or put the house somewhere else... you move the house.

I grew up sitting in traffic as a house made its slow way down the road, so I never thought anything of it.

Today, on the same ride as the telephone pole excitement, we were held up at a light while a house went by. Z-boy thought this was incredible. He bounced up and down in the back seat (at least as much as his seatbelt would let him), pointing at the house. On the roof, sat a young-ish man with no shirt, long hair and a pose like the world-famous Little Mermaid sculpture.

Z-boy sank back in his seat and sighed, "When I grow up, I want THAT job!"

I didn't tell him that the job is actually lifting power lines as the house passed under them.

If you look closely (or click on the picture), you can just see the guy sitting on the left side of the roof...

Yeah... I was trying to get the links to blogs I liked (like yours), but I guess I'm not doing it right. Supposedly the code for doing that is included in some of the blog templates, but I couldn't find it or construct it. So I changed templates hoping to get one with the code included. No such luck, but I do like the background!
