My eyes! My eyes!

Rats. Blogger was being most uncooperative in uploading this picture, so I was about to give up when it suddenly decided to work. So here it is - my butt. I had my son take this picture (much glee on his part). I, on the other hand, was a little horrified at how much like an old lady's my rear view was.
I am starting out at (gasp) a size 20 bottom half, so if I am to lose two sizes, I will be a 16 in October. I fully intend for all my other challenger-types to be singing my praises on their own blogs!

I have a doctor's appointment later on this month. He has been after me to quit smoking and lose weight for years. I finally quit smoking on January 13, 2005. Now it's time for the other half of the equation. I had some wonderful support for the smoking thing (looking at you, Alice) and since I'm joining this challenge, I expect some support in the "Lose That Ass" thing, too. I'll be giving it as well.... because I know that when it came to smoking, it kept me going on days when I'd have otherwise lit up. I didn't want to have to post that I inhaled. And in October, I don't want to post that my pants size is... 20.

Good luck to me! And to everyone else joining in. We can do it together - and who knows? Maybe come October, we'll ALL be singing each other's praises!

Hello,

I have been there also, right now I am a size 16 but at one time when my boys were younger I was a 20 also. You can do it too. I think this is going to be a great source of support on here to get us all moving our ass's.

Your son is a sweetie for taking the picture for you if I had asked either of my son's to do that for me, between the hysterical laughing and the jokes they would make about it I think I would have died.

My son walked into my room one time as I was putting on my undies and said something like " having trouble with your parachute ?????"

hahah have a good day.!!!

Can I have those shorts when you are too small to fit into them?

Yeah, Jeff - they have a cool little drawstring in front and big doofy pockets. Ultimate chic!

Are you going to join us? Or are you chicken...

I don't need to lose any weight, in my butt or otherwise (please don't hate me) but that doesnt mean I cant cheer from the sidelines!:)

Cheer on, Janet! Just remember the hell WE'RE going through and make sure you don't go through it yourself in a few years.

We can use all the cheers we can get!

Good luck to you!
I've gained 8 kg over the last six months, and plan to lose them again (oh pretty please...).
Not too sure about joining the challenge though. Scary!

And the rick springfield comment was an answer to a comment on my blog, so no incrimidating evidence. Yet!

sayre, both. I am going to join you and be chicken. That means I am going to bend the rules some. I may post some on my blog about my efforts, but I am not able to contort myself enough to take a pic. I will for sure keep you updated in comments on the "Everyone can just bite . . ." blog and yours.

When I did my daily two mile walk this morning (have lost six pounds in the last month and a half using "Thin Tastes Better" and "The Thin Commandments" food control program/psychological uprooting and reprogramming method) I noticed....no back fat! There's only two rubbing points instead of three now...going down, down down...
