Killer Instinct

If you've been reading this blog, you know that Misha killed her first bird last week. A proud moment for her. Ever since then, she's been trying to duplicate that feeling of accomplishment to no avail. The birds and squirrels get it now... there's a new cat in town. And Misha's been left with empty paws. She is, however, quite resourceful. Since the birds and squirrels are on to her, and the rats are laying low at the moment, she's discovered new quarry.

I was working (ahem) at my computer when I saw her trotting by. The trotting alerted me - she's got something. So when I went to investigate, I discovered that her new hunting grounds are in Z-boy's room - his stuffed animal collection to be precise.

She carried the little panda bear into the family room and proceeded to "kill" it in front of the other cats. Z-boy was horrified and snatched it away from her. She, of course, wasn't going to let it get away that easily, and right after that far right picture was snapped, she made an impressive leap to regain her prey. Z-boy saw it coming though and high-tailed it for his room, where he now keeps the door shut against furry, determined-but-thwarted predators.

In other feline news, Yoda is definitely ready to move.
