Guess I'd better start paying attention...

Okay, color me surprised. I always thought I was a Hillary Clinton person. Apparently not. In fact, for me she was about halfway down the list. John Edwards was my close second. And I don't like the guy. It must be personal, because we seem to agree on a lot of things. And I am ashamed to admit this, but having been a news ostritch lately, I have no idea who this Bill Richardson person is! If I agree with him so much, I'd better start paying attention to the political stuff soon.

Richardson is a lot like Biden -- on paper, he's a top-notch candidate. His credentials outshine himself. He's currently the gov of New Mexico, and under the Clinton administration served as the US Ambassador to the UN and the Secretary of Energy.

For some time he was definitely my guy, but he's made a series of errors along the way -- including telling panelists at the first G&L Debate that being gay was a choice. He backpedaled a couple of days later, but I just had to shake my head and change my mind.

I'm still quietly hoping Mike Bloomberg jumps into the fray as a third party candidate. Shhh, don't tell anyone.

No big shocker here, but with the odd insertion of Joe Biden, of all people, about halfway down, I was all Republican up front, headlining with McCain, Guliani, and Romney.

I found the question to be ridiculously simplistic, and, in some cases, misleading with regard to political philosophy.

For instance, as marriage laws as specifically state based and there is not constitutional position on hetero marriage, why should there be one on any other kind of marriage. I am perfectly fine with gay marriage, for instance... I just don't think it is the federal government's call. Tolerance and understanding come from education, not force. The current method for fostering diversity has resulted in such things as the ghetto monkeyfest currently plaguing our inner cities being dubbed "a culture". When the government encourages you to let them do your thinking for you, the hair on the back of your neck should stand up. Remember that Woodrow Wilson was the first to coin the term "Progressive". Before one thinks of the liberal wing of the Democratic Party redefining themselves as "Progressives" as being a good thing, it would be wise to look up what Wilson actually meant by that.

Sorry for the poitical dissertation! :)

Does this thing try to correct grammar along the way or something?
There are some weird sentence constructions in there that were definitely not there when I hit "publish".

Why isn't Al Gore on this list? I like him the best due to his concerns about global warming. He's my man.

I picked Joe Biden. Of course I don't have a clue who any of these people are except Hilary because of Bill who has been to Canada many times.

How can you tell which party these people are with?

Not to worry..we have ayear to figure out who you actually like. FYI, Richardson is the only candidate I ever gave money to. While his views of gays are somewhat troglodyte, the rest of it is good and the experience is clearly superior to the others.
I tend to agree with John on the gay marriage thing.
