Once upon a time, my Darling Man played in a band. They played the local bars and local festivals, but as things happen, life got in the way. The band members got jobs, families, and lives that eventually didn't include playing in bars anymore.
But those guys were quite good and we actually have a few recordings of them. I'm not sure how to get them on here, but this band, Guided By Voices, has a very similar sound - and the lead singer looks a lot like Darling Man! The eyes and the nose. His mouth is all wrong, but the sound that comes out of it is eerily familiar.
He doesn't want to play in bars anymore, but Darling Man would love to get his friends back together to play. If they do, I promise there will be video!
