Fun Monday - Music of My Life

The Crown Princess at Ooh, A Shiny Pen has issued her decree for Fun Monday! This is her request:

Music plays a vital role in most of our lives. It is everywhere. I want to hear the ONE song that is you. The song that whenever it is heard, you smile. I am not looking for the soundtrack of your life, just that one song. Your friends hear it and think of you.

Aw, geez... do I have to admit this? This song has been following me around since high school. I would enter a room and kids in the class would start singing it. It was funny and highly embarassing and touching all at the same time. I was an incredibly shy teen and was uncomfortable being in the spotlight. Of course, every time it came on the radio, that spotlight turned to me full on. Awwwww... do I HAVE to tell you?

Sigh.

Okay.

The Hall and Oates version was available only as a still photo, but this is a nice rendition.

And as much as I may moan about it, guess where I got the inspiration for the title of my blog????

If you want to see the defining song of other Fun Monday participants, go visit the Crown Princess.

And come back tomorrow for your assignment for the NEXT Fun Monday - I'm hosting!

Very nice song...we have some Hall and Oates vinyl albums around the house. I will have to see if we have "Sara Smiles." Thanks for giving a little history too. That is a grand song for people to sing when you enter the room.

A very pretty song to have for your life's theme Sayre, BTW "Radio Holtieshouse" used to be very much for listening to but over the last couple of years (about when I stopped buying CDs) it's become more of a background thing.

I actually came over here expressly to see if that was your song choice... Good for you for embracing it! It's nice to have a theme song. I hear Hall and Oates are recording again, maybe they'll have a concert and dedicate the song to you on a live album.... :)

I like Hall & Oates too, and can remember sunny summer afternoons with the battery radio out in the yard, trying (unsuccessfully) to get a tan and wishing I had a name that was mentioned in a song.....great choice!
