Fun Monday: A-B-C (Easy as 1-2-3)

This is what I get for signing up for Fun Monday BEFORE I know what the challenge is... Of course, I could say that almost every week, because I find myself sitting here at the computer on Sunday night, wracking my brain for SOMETHING to write - regardless of the challenge.

It doesn't help that Swampy actually gave us permission to break the rules. She said we had to be creative if we did that. Shoot. If you're gonna be creative, you may as well try to do the challenge.

SwampWitch says:

I'm not going to spend much time explaining what the challenge was because they were given permission to not follow THE RULES !

But, there are always those who "mind their manners" and do as they are told. Those are the blogs where you will find something posted about the ABC's.

My momma didn't send me to "White Gloves and Party Manners" for nothin'. So, to the best of my ability, I'm gonna follow the rules.

Yeah. You knew I'd get my weekend pictures in here somehow, didn't you????
Seriously, though... we had a wonderful time. I love the ex-wife and her kids and her husband's aunt (who also spent the weekend with us). Darling Man did an outstanding job of frying fish and scallops, baking crab cakes and dishing out the cheese grits. There were only a few childish meltdowns - all by children who were up too late and were too tired. It was a lovely relaxing weekend with good food, good conversation, and good company. We don't get together enough - but then, we live on either side of the country. I'm grateful for the time we DO have together.

Wow! What a beautiful post...and what an insight into you heart and mind. Amazing how a few words can rock me back on my heels and set me to thinking, "Let it go!"
Thank you for taking so much time to create this and for starting my Monday off on the right foot.
Have a wonderful week.

Question: How do you put that little border around your photos?

Looks like you had a great weekend in what appears to be a really pretty place! More power to ya for being able to spend it with the ex. I don't think I'd be able to handle it!!

Wow...I'm sure it wasn't the easiest of ways to spend the weekend, but your focus was on the good things, the positive aspects and that makes a TON of difference.

Ooooo, and I love YOUR version of "yell" better than mine! Yours is sweet, mine's kinda sour ;).

(Color me impressed that you uploaded SO MANY pics, too! That was WORK!! But worth it, cause it added so much :) ).

Man, I miss going to the beach for vacation. I haven't been to a beach for over 10 years. How sad is that! Great pictures and great story telling ABCs.
