I'm not ignoring you... really!

I am, however, innundated at work. Taking a week off at the end of the quarter means busting my butt when I get back.

To make things more interesting, there is a new FCC report I have to do, detailing what we are doing to educate the public on the digital transition. They want to know EVERYTHING. Every speaking engagement, every community event, every spot, every interview, every article... you get the picture. And of course, since I didn't know the scope of what they would want, I have been running around like a maniac interviewing every person in the building to see what, if anything, they've done to further DTV education... sigh.

I finished the report yesterday and gave it to my General Manager. He pronounced it a "thing of beauty" and faxed it off to the lawyer.

Now I just have to get stuff done for the 4th of July weekend, submit promotions for editing (my editor leaves for China on the 20th to do the Olympics and will be gone for a month) and do the REGULAR quarterly report to hand in by the 10th.

So I hope you will forgive me my sparse presence out there in the internets at the moment.

Real life calls.

I hate it when I need to have something done asap and don't realize. Sounds like you handled it beautifully!

Have a great holiday!

Hey, since you apparently have some free time, let's go to lunch.

I still haven't had the pot roast.

This busy-ness is the story of my life. I am the pot, but I surely will not call you, the kettle, black.

I will forgive you as long as you do not over do it in the real world out there!
