Nip

My favorite time of year is HERE!

I really think I should move further north someday... I don't do heat and humidity very well. Unlike my husband, who seems to thrive on such wilty weather. And since he's not going to pick up and move to New England or the Upper Mid-West, I guess I'll just have to wait... till he's gone or until my next life. I could see me living in Maine or Wisconsin or Minnesota. Heck, I may have been in Wisconsin during my last life. I was born and raised in the South, but whenever anyone tries to guess my accent - it's always Wisconsin! And I've never even been there in this life...

Anyway, Fall arrived, sneaking in like it usually does then waits for us to notice. Usually it takes much longer for us to see Fall sitting over there in the corner, but this year there's a definite dry cool in the morning when I go out to get the paper or feed the dogs. It's different from summer morning cool. And the AC doesn't come on like it used to all night. The temperature outside better matches the perfect sleeping temperature for me on the inside (which I cool the house down to during the summer or I can't sleep at all).

The excitement is building in me, that happy-anxious wait for the first frost that finally says Summer isn't coming back until next year. I am fairly dancing with joy as I wave goodbye to Summer. No tears here!

I love the heat, but just as I'm wilting along comes fall. It is spectacular in north Florida today!

First Labor Day passes, still not Fall in Florida... now September 21st, still not Fall south of the Big O, ... a few more weeks and it will be here!

I'm with you baby! Well, except for that whole "live up North" thing. Uh-uh! No way! Do you know how much SNOW those people get?? ;)

But yeah, I wore my first official Fall outfit to work today! Now I can't wait to unpack my Fall/Winter clothes, dust off all my cute knee high boots and start wearing my favorite season clothing. Too bad it only seems to last for 3 weeks. ha..ha..

Being from Wisconsin, I demand a podcast or Youtube video of you talking....I live in the "Holyland", a fancy term for an area of the state noted for its accent.

I await your voice, kind woman...

I have to admit I love spring and fall. Summer is great fun but sometimes the heat is oppressive (we live in a very hot climate here). I have never liked winter but this year was actually bearable with a real fire! I could get used to that!
