Re-Surfacing

I am back among the living. Well, mostly back. I actually went to work today, but I'm still staying away from people.

The sore throat is gone, as is the headache. The earache is hanging in but it's not an infection - just fluid on the ears. I'm supposed to blow my ears out (hold my nose and breathe out through my ears) several times a day to clear them, but I forget until the little pitchforks stab my eardrum.

I now have a runny nose and an irritating cough. My muscles are rusty and I don't have chills anymore but feel continually hot.

Whatever it was has morphed into something else.

But it's not causing me to spend 90% of the day and night unconscious like I've been for the last five days. You'd think that with all that sleep, I'd feel more rested. I don't.

That must have been some hellacious illness. Whatever it was that wasn't strep according to my doctor.

Oh, and those lovely painpills? Allergic reaction. I felt drunk and my mouth broke out in ulcers. Fun, fun, fun.

Can I get well now? Being sick is not only exhausting... it's BORING. Even when you sleep all the time.

I hope you continue to feel better and this weird bug leaves you soon.

Nothing like feeling like a complete Typhoid Mary, huh?
Makes you just want to sleep for a week.

I know that's how *I* feel and it's been going on a week now. Blech.. And I know Ranger certainly doesn't appreciate me infecting him. Poor thing is absolutely miserable now. I can only imagine that the "Man House" is going to become a hotbed of illness soon. Like our own personal version of Ebola Quanrantine. ;)

Sorry to have been remiss in staying current but I’m doing what I can to catch up today. I’m glad you’re feeling better and hope your health continues to improve. I’ve heard there’s something really nasty going around that lasts 2-3 weeks and I’m grateful to have avoided it myself ... (I’m taking a moment to knock on wood here … just because). Having an allergic reaction to the meds makes it all the more frustrating! You’re right, being sick IS exhausting AND boring!
Hugs and blessings,
