Finally!!! And some interesting news

It's raining today! That may not seem remarkable to you, but it hasn't rained here since Fay came through and dropped about 17 inches of rain on us. That was back in August. No rain in September.

I cannot tell you how wonderful the air feels, how cool the breeze, how lulling the sound of rain on my roof. I have missed the rain.

In other news, I got an interesting comment on my blog post Satisfaction. This fellow named Herb invited me to take part in some marketing research for Subaru. After checking it out, I went and signed up for it. They will pay me for my participation, but I will earn it. I have five assignments - things to write and pictures to post in blog posts on their private intranet.

I'm assuming that the marketing gurus will have a look at all of our posts there and come up with some kind of plan for selling more Subarus. Actually, it's amazing to me that it's not a more popular set of cars. Their vehicles are wonderful, but Toyota and Hyundai and the struggling American manufacturers have made up the bulk of the advertising and most of the sales.

So between last Monday's Fun Monday assignment and this extra blogging, I'm getting a pretty good warm up for NaNoWriMo! You may have noticed the new badge in my sidebar. And the word-count widget. You can see how I'm doing as I update my stats in the month of November.

Now if I could only come up with a story idea...

You know I always fancied writing a novel.

Just a couple of things stopping me:

* Don't have an idea
* Don't have writing talent
* Don't have time

But other than that, I'm good to go!

That sounds cool. AND you reminded me that the official NaBloPoMo is coming up. I don't think I could pull off a novel.

You go, girl!

Yeah - I'm trying to 'get back in the swing' of things to do NaBloPoMo next month...gonna be HARD. So, I'm envious of you writing a novel. I will be watching your widget!

Which now that I write that, reads kinda nasty.

Very kewl about the marketing blog...and the extra $$$

Much luck on the nonowrimo project...like others, i've thought about writing a book but never actually sat down and tried to do it...i hope the widget doesn't get too frustrating
