Fun Monday - Old Feet at Home

It's Fun Monday again and Gattina over at Writer's Cramps has issued this cozy challenge:

Please show us what you wear on your feet inside your home ! Do you wear slippers, flip flops, shoes or nothing ? just take a picture and show us your feet !

I have recently become a bit obsessed with my feet (no, not that way!). When I was diagnosed with diabetes, my doctor stressed care of the feet because if you're going to have circulatory problems, often that's the first place it shows up.

Among the things he told me is that I can't go barefoot anymore because an injury to the foot is much more serious when you have diabetes. Which stinks - I've spent much of my life barefoot and that is how I feel the most comfortable. The closest I can get to going barefoot on a daily basis is by wearing my crocs flip-flops. But I don't wear those in the house. These are what I wear in the house:

Pretty comfy-looking. They're dearfoam slippers, which are very soft and very comfortable. I wear them enough that every year I've got to look for a new pair because I've worn the old ones out. It's a happy chore!

Now go visit Gattina and see what's on everyone else's feet!

Since I only wear my slippers about 10 days out of the year, they never wear out! Comfy things on the feet are always a good thing. High heels? Ack! Can't even remember the last time I wore them!

I hear you about foot care, especially important now that you're training for the half marathon, Sayre. When I did a long walk in boots that weren't broken in properly got blood blisters and lost toenails. My feet still look like they've been through too much.

Like your idea of always having a replacement pair of slippers in the wings. Isn't there a rule about if you love a product the mfgs will discontinue it--or worse "improve it"?

I'm all for comfy. I always hate to give up the old worn out ones.

Dearfoam slippers are the best, very comfy. I too have to replace my slippers every year, due to wearage (is that a word??) My post is up also, come on over, my name didn't make the list. I dont think yours did either.

I wonder if I could put a pair of orthotics in those (:

Lovely cozy slippers! Take good care of your feet and they will take good care of you. That's how I justify many things, including Slipper Socks and pedicures :-) Glad you liked my socks. I actually have devoted about 2/3 of a drawer to them. When they push the rest of my stuff out, I guess I'll have to quit :-) Happy FM to you!

Those look comfortable. I can't wear clog-type slippers, though. My heels feel left out and my toes overcompensate.

Once upon a time (when I wore slippers) I wore Dearfoams and found them quite comfy. These days I'm barefoot most of the time. I'm not on the list either but I played at Small Reflections.
Hugs and blessings,
