Fun Monday - Art Work

Hey!!!! It's Fun Monday and I'm hosting - what I want to see is artwork from around your workplace that inspires you (or your co-workers) in your daily jobs.

I'm lucky in that a lot of the people I work with are artistic - whether it's job related or not. For instance, this is a picture of Darling Man done by one of his employees:

Sometimes, inspiration comes from the strangest places... There used to be a young guy that worked with me who came to work with one of these fans (he's a Jehovah's Witness, so I'm not sure where he got this from):

Click on the speech bubble picture to see what he wrote. Keith doesn't work here anymore, but this particular "art" has traveled through several offices since he left.

Then there are those handy reminders drawn around work:

Don't put your finger in the socket. It does NOT feel good.

Our IT department was fun. I hung out down there quite a bit when my computer was down. This is a self-portrait by one of our guys:

And this was drawn on one of their bulletin boards:

They wouldn't tell me what Mr. Cheeks doesn't approve of...

And this is part of the "Elvis Wall" in my office.

I'm not even a fan, but Nikki started something and everyone who visits my office or even walks by it has some kind of comment to make about the Elvis wall.

I have a couple of other things in my office that I don't have pictures of at the moment, but I will take pictures tomorrow when I get to work and update.

UPDATE - MORE PICTURES!

The Blue Jeans Jacket picture reminds me to hang loose in the breeze. Nothing is worth freaking out over... it's only TV. But the tornado picture reminds me of just how crazy it can get suddenly. That's when I REALLY need to hang loose.

Anakin and Fluffy inspire me when I'm on deadline... I just have to sit down and attack it - or take a bite out of it. And the monkey reminds me that sometimes it really IS better to say nothing. He hangs out with the ibuprophen!

Now, visit everyone else and see what inspires them in their day-to-day.

Jill (Lil' Mouse) / Janis (Jan & Jer) / Molly (Return of the White Robin) / Patience / Faye / Mariposa / Margaret the Misanthrope / Amanda (first time player) / Grace / Island Rider / BobbieLeigh / Sandcastle Momma / Hulagirl / Karina / Church Lady / Gattina / Joan Gee / Tracey / Hootin' Anni / Watching Them Blossom / Min (Mama Drama) / MommyWizdom / ChrisB /

I need a volunteer for hosting duties next Monday!!!! Please volunteer in the comments.

I'm thinking back to work days and no one I worked with had such interesting artwork in their workspaces. Come to think of it, my wallsize postits may have been the best we had to offer. I'll bet you did want to ask about the significance of all these pieces.

Hello my friend! Thanks for visiting my FM! You asked about the mini-fridge. It holds six cans of soda (or fizzy water, in my case). I got it at Tarjjjay last year sometime, for about $40. However, be warned - the "cooler" part broke down several months ago. So now I just use it as a place to hide my stash from light-fingered folks :-) I am hoping to get another one, but haven't found it yet - they may re-appear in stores closer to the fall, with the back to college stuff.

It seems you are lucky enough to work with some creative and fun people! Beats my work place art (which is um...none!).

I really have to get back into the Fun Monday thing and lay off the Facebook for a while...
