Fun Monday - Cuppa

Gattina is our host this week:

My question is, what do you drink in the morning, coffee, milk, tea, or something else ? and in what do you drink ? A cup or a mug or a bowl ? Please show us a picture !

Pefect for a get-up-and-go Monday morning!

I used to drink coffee. A LOT of coffee. But just because I wanted to see if I could, I gave it up for Lent. Two days after Lent ended, I finally had a cup of coffee, but only drank half. Since then, I've had one other cup of coffee. That habit seems to have been broken - but now I have a new one!

First thing I do when I get up is fill this kettle and put it on to heat.

Then I get one of two teapots out (this one is my favorite because it doesn't dribble!) and a mug. This one is my Barnes and Noble Authors mug. Not my usual morning mug except for weekends. My weekday mug must be able to go in my car and fit in the cup holder.

I have a few to choose from. The rest are in the dishwasher...

Since I quit coffee, the rest of the family has gotten the tea bug as well. On that tray are English Breakfast and Earl Grey (my favorites), a mango tea, a cardamom tea and a chamomile peppermint tea. And green tea in the jar because the wrapper is paper rather than foil.

I drink my tea with Splenda and evaporated milk. That right there is the perfect color of a morning cup of tea.
I'll be hosting Fun Monday next week, so come back on Wednesday for your fun topic!

Fun post. I drink my tea plain, and usually just have one cup, so I "brew" it in the mug.

I couldn't live without my mug of coffee in the morning and I drink quiet a lot. But the afternoons are dedicated to tea and the same as you are drinking, but I never use milk.
I never would have thought that such a simple topic would become so interesting ! I feel like a little Wikipedia concerning mugs and international breakfast drinks uses, lol !

Nice post. I switched from Coffee to Tea a year ago and the health benefits have been noticable.

I also cook with Green Tea. I've found that just opening up bags of inexpensive Lipton works just fine.

That DOES look like a perfect cup of tea! I drink tea in the afternoon or evening! I had quit drinking coffee too, for about 12 years actually - back when it was supposed to be so BAD for you? But then they came out with the study that showed it helps to keep alzheimer's away - man I am back on my coffee now! At LEAST one cup a day -- usually two! LOL!

That is a pretty little tea-pot ya got there too!

I love Splenda, don't you? I do drink a lot of tea, but must have my coffee! I played too!

I'm a tea drinker and Earl Grey's my favourite. I prefer my tea with milk.

I don't think I could ever give up my coffee! However, I like my tea too. I usually drink one cup of jo in the am then a cup of tea in the afternoon.

This so reminds me of that song I'm a little Tea Pot we use to sing back in the day LOL Cute tea pot I must say. It amazes me all the work people go to for their morning ritual. :) I think that's why I drink right outta the carton :) Have a great week ahead :)

I dont think I could ever give up my coffee...sometimes I dream of my morning cup. My Hubs is in charge of making our brew every morning...he likes to blend several flavors with regular and let me tell you..he comes up with some delicious combinations. Tea is also a favorite of mind. I have several tea pots and I love to brew the loose tea leaves and have a nice cup in the afternoons. Hopefully I will be back playing FM next week...

It does look lovely. I like my tea straight... but I have creamer in my coffee.

I gave up coffee for Lent one year and that's when discovered PG Tips tea. I get mine at World Market so it's readily available. A really good tea.

Great pics.
