Misha

This is  my beautiful Misha.  We've had her for four years and finally, finally, she's decided to be our cat.  Before, we were those people who fed her and kept the kitty litter box clean enough and let her in and out whenever she wanted.

She's never been a snuggly cat.  She didn't seem to want to be touched, so we let her be and occasionally were rewarded by the lightest brush up against our legs.

But something has changed.  We have no idea what it was, but suddenly, Misha has become affectionate.  She sleeps at the end of my bed, and sometimes she'll snuggle up to my feet.  She's giving sitting in my lap a try, though she's only managed it once.  Usually, she plants her ample rear on the little table between our chairs and hangs her front end over the arm of the chair with her feet on my leg.  And she'll allow me to pet her now.  She'll come lean on my leg and I can reach down and stroke her from her head to her tail.  Sometimes she purrs.

I wish I knew what brought about this change, but Misha's not telling me.  Maybe it was four years of patience and loving her anyway.  Whatever it was, I'm grateful for it.  She's a wonderful companion.

I can never work cats out, but they are definitely their own people and will do things at their speed regardless of what we want. She's a beautiful cat though :)

My cat used to hide in the basement and only came out for food. Only recently in the last year or so has she come out of her shell. She sits in my lap and lets the kids play with her. I don't get the change either, but enjoy it nonetheless.

She's beautiful! I've always had cats and they each have their own personality but I've noticed that females seem to pick one person and that's who they like - when they decide to like you at all.

We have 7 cats now. Two are affectionate to the point of being clingy and two just want us to feed them and then leave them alone. The other three wander over for some love every once in a while but it has to be their idea.

She is beautiful! We don't have a cat anymore. I found him a home with a lovely family and they simply adore him. I still get regular updates on his antics. :-)

Our cat only likes two people ....me and my husband. She hisses and everyone else. Cats do have a mind of their own.
