Remember when...

I was telling my mom the telephone pole story on the phone today, and she said there was another Z-boy story that was funny, but she couldn't think of it. When he was little. Just learning to talk... I remembered.

We were leaving the drive-through of a frozen yogurt place. I was driving, Mom was in the front seat, and Z-boy was strapped into his car seat in the middle of the back seat. A gigantic sneeze erupted from Mom's body.

"God-dammit, Grandma!" a little voice chirped from the back seat.

Mom's head snapped in my direction with big eyes and a hand over her mouth as she tried not to giggle.

"Honey, when someone sneezes, we say 'God BLESS you.'" I managed to choke out as I muffled my own guffaws.

There was a very short silence in the back as he digested this information.

"Oh. That's right. It's 'God-dammit' when you spill your coffee!"

Oh god... I would die. Right there in the car. Just die! LOL.

BTW, I was drinking when reading this post and a little apple juice came out of my nose. =)

This one has circulated so much at work (thanks, Suzanne) that it has nearly become "urban legend". It is the ONE really funny Z-boy story that I can remember.

Not that there aren't lots, but this one actually has a punch line!

OMGosh, that was sooooooo funny! I am getting back up off the floor from laughing so hard!

Thanks for that great story!

You have to put it in his scrapbook and remember to publish the story in his yearbook when he graduates!

Cheers!
