School's been out a week and quite predictably, the temperatures here soared into the 90s. The humidity was relatively low for here, which is how we know it was really HOT.
The boy and I took the dogs for a walk out in a big park north of town. It wasn't a strenuous one, but halfway through, both of us were soaked with sweat and feeling a bit stumbly. The dogs were still running around like maniacs, so we trudged on. Finally, as we neared the end of the walk, the dogs came back to us, panting and drooling and no longer running.
It's a very good thing Darling Man taught them both to drink out of a bottle...
After their drink, they stood around for a few minutes before we headed to the car. Once in, I turned on the AC full blast so that everyone could cool down.
Tomorrow, the boy and I shall arise much earlier and ride our bikes before it gets too hot!

Those look like happy hounds! I bet that is so cute watching them drink out of a bottle!
Have a pretty night,
Kristin
What beautiful dogs.
Buddha won't drink from a bottle, although he likes drinking from the bottle as I pour it into the dish.
Let's face it, Buddha has rules about water.
That's a great video! Our Beagle acts like it's raining when we try that and he wants to run hide from the water LOL
He's a sweet dog but not the brightest in the bunch!
ZBoy's letter will be enroute soon - things have been crazy here but the Oldest is on it.
"feeling stumbly"--I know exactly what you're describing. It's the humidity that's a killer. I'll bet your dogs are like my old boy. they won't turn down a walk regardless of how uncomfortable it gets. Love your dogs--first time I can remember seeing the "striped" one. :-)
